Our Story

GST Group’s history illustrates a quantum leap from
a small family-based seafood trading to a
multi-million global business.

Since its founding in 1985, Goh Siong Tee Seafood Supplies, named after our founder, Dato’ Goh Cheng Liang's father, initiated the supply of fresh seafood to Penang's restaurants and hotels. With persistence and an extensive network, the business expanded to other parts of northern Malaysia.

In the early 1990s, Goh Siong Tee Farm, the company’s first marine water fish-breeding facility, was established in Pulau Aman, Penang, employing the marine cage culture method. By 2005, the company incorporated a crucial element in the import and export trade, enabling the group to further venture into raw fish fillet processing and supply to global markets.

Over the years, GST Group’s reputation has grown with major recognitions received globally and domestically. With ongoing system and equipment upgrades, we are committed to delivering products and services of the utmost quality. Every year, we produce up to 4,000 tonnes of high-quality seafood products and export them to destinations like Japan, Europe, America and Australia. We established our feed mill operations in June 2018, which boasts advanced shrimp pelleting and fish extruder production lines with computerized control systems and enclosed pipelines.

GST Group has developed a fully integrated seafood production ecosystem, covering the entire fishery process, from broodstock and hatchery to farming, feed mill, processing, and distribution. We champion the significance of sustainable seafood practices across Malaysia, fostering environmental consciousness for generations as we envision a world that savours the freshest seafood with peace of mind.
